How do I change the access number to connect to Comcation?
Double-click
the Comcation dialer icon, click the properties
button and select the Locations tab. Enter the access number you wish to dial to connect to
Comcation. Click OK.

waiting?
Double-click the
Comcation dialer icon, click the properties button
and select the Locations tab. Click the box and
enter the number to disable call waiting (usually *70
for tone and 1170 for pulse) in the fields
"disable call waiting with:" Click
OK.

What if I need to dial a
number to get an outside line?
Double-click the
Comcation dialer icon, click the properties button
and select the Locations tab. In the field
"For an outside line access, dial:" enter
the number needed to access an outside line.

How come the dialer won't
save my password?
Double-click the
Comcation dialer icon, click the properties button
and select the General tab. Make sure the box
"Manually log in each time" is not
selected.

I can
get ComCAT's homepage fine, but I can't get any other web
sites?
Check that the address
of the site you are trying is correct. If the web
site you are trying is a very popular one, try
another web site (very popular web sites could be
experiencing heavy traffic)
Try disconnecting and rebooting your computer, then
reconnecting. If this still doesn't help,
Double-click the Comcation dialer icon, click the
properties button and select the Service Provider
tab. Verify the Primary and Secondary DNS and Domain Name is correct. Make changes as
needed. Click OK.

How do I empty out all of my
previously viewed web page images, etc.
(cache)?
Click on Options /
Network Preferences in your toolbar at the top of
your browser window. Click on the Cache tab at the
top of this new
window. The button Clear Disk Cache Now will empty
all cache
stored on your hard drive. If you click the Clear
Memory Cache Now
button, any cache since Netscape has been opened will
be cleared.

I don't have any icons at the
top of my browser. How do I put them there?
How do I make them smaller/bigger?
Click on Options /
General Preferences in your toolbar at the top of
your browser window. Click on the Appearance tab at
the top of this
new window. The top section is labeled Toolbars.
Clicking on the
radio button for the option Pictures will give you
small icons on your
toolbar, clicking on Text will give you a toolbar
with text labels, no
icons. Clicking on Pictures and Text will give you
large icons on your
toolbar with Text labels below each icon.

How do I change the default
homepage that appears when I start Netscape?
Click on Options /
General Preferences in your toolbar at the top of
your browser window. Click on the Appearance tab at
the top of this
new window. The middle section, labeled Startup,
contains the line
Browser starts with Blank page or Home Page Location.
You want to
have Home Page Location selected and in the box below
it, type the
new address of the web site that you want to be your
new home page.

How do I remove Web Sites
that are in my Bookmarks that I no longer
want?
Click on Bookmarks /
Go to Bookmarks in your toolbar at the top of
your browser window.
A new window will open displaying a list of all of
your web sites that
are bookmarked. Selecting any of them by clicking on
it once will
highlight it. Simply hit the Delete key on your
keyboard to remove
this web site from your list of Bookmarks.
