A MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES PAGE

how they got started and then some
One day, Tim Burton (Johnny Vegas) was relaxing on his boat in sunny Florida. He got a call from Tim Bridewell and Dicky Barrett, in Boston, about starting up a band. They needed Tim Burton to play the saxophone. He decided to join the band. They had to find a name for themselves. It was either The Cashmeres or The Bosstones. They decided to go with The Bosstones because they were from Boston. Later, the band found out that there was an accapela group from harvard called The Bosstones so, they changed it to The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. The band first appeared on a compilation album called "Mashing Up the Nation". The Bosstones would wear plaid pajamas when they performed. They became known for wearing plaid. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones then had to break up so that Nate Albert (guitar) and Joe Gittleman (bass) could finish high school. Now that they were out of school, The Bosstones rejoined once again. Signed by TAANG! Records, they came out with their first album "Devil's Night Out". The picture on the front cover is in plaid, keeping the tradition alive. Staying with TAANG! Records, The Bosstones came out with their second album, "More Noise & Other Disturbances". On this album, drummer Josh Dalsimer was replaced by Joe Sirois and Kevin Lenear and Dennis Brockenborough were added to the horn section. That year they also put out "Where'd you go" an EP. After having problems with TAANG! Records, they were signed by Mercury. in 1993 w/mercury they put out two albums, "Don't Know How to Party", And "ska-core, the devil, and more" was put out. They started to make videos for their songs and became big stars across the world. Now that The Bosstones were making more money, they decided to create their own record label, BIG RIG . On Big Rig they release their major label albums on vinyl. Their fifth and latest album, "Question the Answers", was put out on mercury.
