Song: The Impression That I Get
Artist: The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Album: Let's Face It

Another fast and furious song by the ska-core group from Boston.
The song is fairly easy and a lot of fun to play. When Nate plays his intro,
let an open E ring out when he starts the riff for a second time. Right
before the verse starts, slide down the second string, starting at the 12th
fret. Then go into the verse.

Verse:

G -----------------------------------------------------------------
D ------6---9----------------------------6--7--6-------------6---9-
A --7----------------6--/9----4--6--7--------------0----7----------
E ----------------7------------------------------------------------

cont:

-------------------------------------
----------------------------6--7-6--7
-------6---/9---4--6--7--------------
-------7-----------------------------

Then Pre-Chorus…

Pre-Chorus:

G ---------------------------------------------
D ---------------------------------------------
A --------------------0----0-0----0-0----0-0---
E --0--2--0--2--0------------------------------

The second and third times through the pre-chorus are played a little
differently. The second time, a little riff is added to the end of the
original line. Like this.

G --------------------------------------------------------
D --------------------------6h7--6h7--6--4------------
A --------------------0-------------------------7--------
E --0--2--0--2--0---------------------------------------

This is played only in the first repetition through the line. The third time
through (when it actually becomes the post-chorus) is also a bit modified.

G ----------------------------------------------------------------------
D ----------------------------------------------------------------------
A --------------------0--0--6h7--6--4--------------------0---7-7-7-7-7--
E --0--2--0--2--0-------------------------7--2--0--2--0-----------------

--------------------------------
--------------------------------
------------------7-7-7-7-6-4---
---0--2--0--2--0----------------

The chorus is 4 notes: E, B, G#, and A. For those of us tab-dependent
people, that's:

Chorus:

A ---7-------------------
E --------7---4---5-----

As for the rhythm, every time note changes, the first note is played as an
eighth note, followed by a string of sixteenths. This remains pretty
consistent throughout the song. As for the ending, the bass just kinda
plays the verse riff quieter and quieter until it fades out. At the very
end, an open A is played. And there you have it.
