Kevin left the band around 7/3/98, here is what Chin said on alt.music.bosstones:
"I just heard that Kevin has quit the Band and it does not look like he
will be returning . This is the kind of news that I do not like to be
the bearer of but it comes from a very reliable source, The Band.
Hopefully he will change his mind after a little time off, I know all
the guys where becoming very stressed out from their constant touring. I
have been told that the HORDE shows , Austrailia, and the WARPED tour
will all be played by the band as a 7 piece. After Warped they are
planing time off to record a new CD. Thats all I know right now and I
hope the band doesn't get upset with me for breaking this news to the
online community, but no one asked me to keep it under my hat so I
thought I would share this with everyone
Keep the Faith
CHIN"
